Yes, Parental Guidance Suggested, that is the name of the five week class our pastor and his wife are teaching. He has created a list of 20 "Rules" for Parents. We reviewed the first 5 during last weeks first class.


#1-- Don't Punish Mistakes; Punish Intent
          make sure that you don't punish accidents but punish wrong choices

#2-- Make the Rules Ahead of Time
          each and every time you head into a situation (the grocery store or a party or anything) set the groundwork for how you expect your children to act

#3-- Get a Hold of Your Self before You get a Hold of Your Child
          i.e. count to 10 before disciplining your child

#4-- Don't Publicly Embarace Your Child
          take them on a walk or into the bathroom, just don't publicly embarace your child

#5-- Don't Give in to Your Child to Avoid Conflict
          don't say yes to your child just to avoid a screaming fit or any other conflict
