Tot School- a, pink, heart

Tot School
This week we introduced the letter: A, the color: pink and the shape: heart.

This week we had a short week.  Between the combination of moving and a sick child we really didn't get quite as much done as we would of liked.  We began with an introduction to each of the three: a, pink and heart.  They were simple worksheets I found on the internet/ or created- similar to our K, red, circle pages which you will find here.  They are A (from dltk.teach.com), pink: color page (from me- to upload soon), and heart: color page (also from me- to upload soon).

We read through our Baby Einstein: See and Spy Counting and practiced counting 1-5.  She is really good at recognizing her numbers 1 and 2 but only pretend counts beyond.
We also created some colorful hearts to use both with our heart project and to sort.  She really enjoyed the sorting, we sorted the hearts many times throughout the day.  She had seven colors that she was sorting at different times throughout the day: blue, light blue, pink, light pink, purple, green and yellow.
As one of our projects this week with hearts, as well as Valentines Day, we decided to make cards for her grandparents and aunts and uncles.  She used both hearts as well as flowers, circles with double hearts, and circles that said Love.  She really enjoyed gluing the item and putting them on her different cards.
We also used some of her hearts and flowers to create a big flower for her art wall.  I did help her with stems and leafs where she wanted them but then she colored them in.
