Tot School- k, red, circle 2

Tot School
This week we worked on a few more circle activities: snowman and some k activities: kites.  We didn't get a lot accomplished but we did work 3 days this week, however I only pulled the camera out twice.  So sorry for the shortage of pictures.

One of the things we focused on a lot by KPie's request was to do sorting, transferring, and pouring.  We made a trip to the local hobby store and found these cool small pom-poms, which immediately became soup.  And once you have multicolored soup, you obviously need multicolored coffee.  So what better way than with a spoon to transfer.

Then once you have gotten all of the multicolored coffee you must obviously pour it back into the original pan to start making soup again.  While playing we also did a lot in color recognition and sorting.  We pulled out 3 other pans during different times in our games and sorted our colors: mainly BLUE, red, white, pink and other, as those are the colors that we know best.

We also had the first snow here in months and so that always means pull out the boots and go play in the snow.  On our second day in the snow, dad and KPie  built a snowman.  And of course Mom (me) couldn't help but pointing out that there were 3 circles just like our snowman last week.
Later that evening we were just hanging out when KPie wanted to color.  So I pulled out her Woof-woof coloring book (it is the favorite right now) and she found this snowman with a dog and asked me to help her color it.

This week we also did a coloring page k- kite page, a magnetic k-kite page, and played a little with some kite shapes, and kite color cards which I made.  (I hope to get these and others uploaded this week for people to see.)  We also did more sorting and organizing of our pom-pom stews- in fact we had them out three more times- sometimes working with colors and sometimes just cooking/eating multicolor stew.

We will be working more on k-kite, circles, and the color red this coming week as well!!!
