Rule #18-- Rigidity is lethal
This is in relation to rules. As your children get a little older, especially, you need to listen to them as they ask for rules to bend a little. The goal of raising your kids is to teach them responsibility and that sometimes means bending of rules/ not the strict adherence of the rules.
Rule #19-- Don't complain about adults to children
Kids are unable to handle the stresses of adult complaints.
Rule #20-- Keep the aggreements you make with your children.
If something is likely to come up make sure to create a back-up plan (plan b) so you don't let down your kids. Your kids as well as you will both feel better about the situation.
So that concludes our 20 rules for parents. Which rule do you need to work on the most?
